Before visiting, our biggest question was whether a luxury resort like The Broadmoor would truly feel welcoming for young children. The answer was YES! One of the biggest advantages of staying at The Broadmoor with kids is that you can create an entire vacation without constantly getting in the car. Between the pool, activities, dining options, and beautiful grounds, there is plenty to explore right on the property.

The Broadmoor Room Review: Our Classic Room Experience

We stayed in a Classic Room with a king-size bed and a small study area, and we were impressed by how spacious it felt for our family of four. Traveling with young children often means managing luggage, bedtime routines, and downtime in the room, so having extra space made a noticeable difference.

The room had the elegant design details you would expect from a luxury resort while still being comfortable and practical for family travel. The additional study area gave us a little more room to spread out, which was helpful during our stay.

One detail we especially appreciated was the twice-daily room service. As a family with a 3 and 4 year-olds, we were impressed by how many dining options The Broadmoor offers without ever needing to leave the property. The resort features 10 restaurants plus cafés and lounges, ranging from casual family-friendly spots like the Pool Café, Café Julie’s, PLAY, and the Italian-inspired Ristorante Del Lago to nationally recognized fine dining venues. The resort’s focus on fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients was evident throughout our stay, and having so many options within walking distance made dining with young children both convenient and enjoyable. We especially appreciated the variety, whether we wanted a quick breakfast, pizza, burgers, or a more upscale dinner while the kids enjoyed the lively atmosphere. Two spots we repeated visited were:

Café Julie’s Gelato

Café Julie’s became our go-to spot each morning thanks to its quick service, coffee, pastries, and grab-and-go breakfast options, making it easy to fuel up before a day of activities. It was also the perfect stop for a sweet treat during our stay. The gelato was a favorite with our family and made a fun afternoon or evening dessert after exploring the resort.

Ristorante Del Lago

Our favorite dining experience at The Broadmoor was Ristorante Del Lago. The Italian-inspired restaurant provided a beautiful atmosphere with lakeside outdoor seering while still feeling comfortable for families. Our favorite items were the marinated beets, mussels pomodoro, lobster pappardelle, and tiramisu!
